Kelly Generator & Equipment, Inc. Appoints Laura Storr as Director of Sales

Owings, Maryland – December 2018 – Kelly Generator & Equipment, Inc. (KG&E) has named Laura Storr, as the new Director of Sales.

Formerly known as Laura Kelly, Laura Storr recently got married in August of 2018 in London, where she celebrated with friends and family. With just over 11 years of experience under her belt, Laura was promoted from within in October of 2018 to Director of Sales. Laura joined the KG&E team in 2008 as the marketing coordinator for the company. Her time as the marketing coordinator was spent creating the first KG&E website and sales CRM system.

Roughly 3 years later, Laura then began her career as an Industrial Sales Representative. During Laura’s time in new unit sales, she covered all of Delaware as well as most of the state of Maryland. Consequently, it is with great tenure that Laura assumes this new role.

Throughout her time here, both Generac Power Systems and KG&E have recognized Laura for her accomplishments. KG&E was awarded the Mobile Power Award in 2013 for Laura’s work in selling six mobile units. In 2017, Laura was awarded the Million Dollar MPS Sales award in recognition of highest MPS sales by a Sales Representative at the Generac Annual Conference. Laura also received Sales Person of the Year from KG&E in 2012, 2014, and 2017. Her persistence and enterprising attitude has only grown with her roles here at KG&E.

The KG&E team was more than pleased to find out that Laura would be the new Director of Sales. Owner and president of the company, John Kelly Jr. said, “she is well positioned to lead the sales team forward to greater success”. Many team members stated that this was a “well-deserved and well-earned promotion” when sharing their congratulations.

Laura commented on her new position saying: “I’m excited about what I can bring to the table as a leader for my team through the experiences that I’ve gained over the past decade in both marketing and sales. I’m very pleased with the sales team we currently have in place and look forward to seeing the company grow through the excellent people we have here at the company”.
