Scheduled Maintenance

We provide a comprehensive scheduled maintenance program for your generator equipment.  This program is based upon a thorough review of your generator from top to bottom governed by a 76-point checklist which we closely follow to ensure your equipment is completely reviewed.  This checklist is completed by our qualified technician and you will be given a copy of this list after each visit.

This "checkup" includes a multi-point check in each of the following categories:

  • fuel system
  • lubrication system
  • cooling system
  • exhaust system
  • operational test
  • electrical systems
  • battery system
  • engine
  • generator
  • transfer switch

If you would like to speak with us about establishing a scheduled maintenance contract to have us keep your generator in top shape then please call us during our normal work hours, 7:00AM - 4:30PM at 1-800-677-3815.  We pledge to you the best service available on your generator.

If you are currently a service contract customer with us then please take note of the following lists of customer actions which should be taken between our scheduled visits to ensure your equipment is in optimal condition:

  • Maintain all fluid levels:
    • Oil
    • Fuel
    • Coolant
    • Battery water
    • Gearbox oil (if applicable)
  • Maintain an active checklist on the unit:
    • Fluid levels
    • Hours
    • Water temperature
    • Oil pressure
    • Oil temperature (if applicable)
    • Fuel pressure ( if applicable)
    • Battery voltage reading
    • Ambient temperature (outside air temp)
  • Know how to operate the system and do running checks:
    • Manually start the system to verify operation before it is needed
    • Transfer the ATS(s) on a monthly basis.
  • Reminder to customer with new generators:
    • Maintenance items are not covered by manufacturer warranty
    • Failure to have scheduled maintenance performed will void the manufacturer warranty.

This list is designed to aid in the active care of your emergency generator system and is only a basic list.  Proactively working with your system will reduce down time and increase reliability.
