Spring Engineering Symposium
A member of our engineering team recently led a group of fellow engineers from other companies to Generac’s Spring Engineering Symposium in Wisconsin. The event brought together engineers and industry professionals to discuss emerging technologies, evolving power demands, and key developments within the power generation industry.
Sessions covered a range of topics, including Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), microgrid applications, NEC code updates, and generator sizing. A major focus this year was Generac’s expanding lineup of large industrial generators, including the rollout of units in the 2.25 MW to 3.25 MW range designed to support increasingly demanding applications.
In addition to the technical presentations, the symposium provided valuable opportunities to connect with Generac engineers and industry peers. Participation in events like these helps our team stay current with industry trends and advancements, ensuring we continue delivering knowledgeable support and reliable power solutions to our customers.
Job Highlights – University Rental
This quarter, the KGE Rentals team continued supporting customers across the Mid-Atlantic with temporary power solutions for a variety of critical applications. One recent deployment provided temporary power support for a major university facility, helping ensure uninterrupted operations during ongoing project activities.
Our rental fleet regularly supports healthcare facilities, educational institutions, municipal infrastructure, construction projects, and industrial operations requiring dependable backup or temporary power. Backed by experienced technicians and responsive project support, our team helps customers maintain continuity during planned outages, equipment replacements, emergency situations, and other power-critical events.
As demand for flexible power solutions continues to grow, we remain committed to delivering reliable equipment and expert support wherever and whenever it is needed.
PGCPS Blueprint Program
We completed the first of eight generator installations as part of Phase II of a major public school infrastructure modernization program. KGE and Generac were selected to provide all eight standby power systems for the initiative, supporting critical infrastructure improvements across multiple educational facilities.
The first completed installation features a 175 kW Generac natural gas generator paired with two bypass automatic transfer switches and a docking station. Designed to provide reliable backup power, the system helps enhance facility resilience and ensure continuity during utility power disruptions.
We are proud to support projects that strengthen educational infrastructure throughout our region and look forward to continuing work on the remaining locations in the months ahead.
