Kelly Generator & Equipment, Inc. is a national provider of backup and prime power systems with special focus on the mid-Atlantic region of the U.S. We are a tightly coordinated rapid response team, known for the reliability of the generators, load banks and UPS systems we sell, service and rent. OUR MISSION
KGE strives to provide our customers with quick and professional solutions to their electrical power needs. KGE operates on three solid principles: ensure optimum quality in every product sold; professional, honest, straight-forward relationships with our customers; and superior service for the life of our products.
HISTORY
1992
KGE was established in a small house with stand-alone trailers & shared by 2 other companies owned by brothers of John E. Kelly, Jr.
2000
The Kelly brothers decided it was time for a bigger establishment so they moved to a 25,000 sq. ft. building in Upper Marlboro, MD. KGE made a dent in the rental market by investing more than $1M into their rental fleet with engines ranging from 20kW to 2MW.
2006
KGE broke ground on its 28,000 sq. ft. building in Owings, MD. Mr. Kelly built an oversized facility to accommodate future growth to build a state of the art training facility. KGE has trained more certified technicians than anyone in the Generac family. This has won KGE Generac's Training Award 2 consecutive years.
2012
KGE increased its area of responsibility into the Western PA and West Virginia region.
2017
KGE added 3.5 acres behind their corporate facility in MD to stage their rapidly expanding rental fleet. The largest single rental unit in our fleet is a 2MW unit with enough large units in stock to parallel to a single bus up to 9.5 MW.
2020
KGE signs distribution agreement with Siemens Energy (now Guascor Energy) for the Mid-Atlantic region offering
S Series, H Series, and E Series gaseous engines from 200 kW to 2 MW single sets with paralleling capabilities to meet much larger requirements.
2022
KGE celebrated 30 years in business!
