DO YOU WANT TO LEARN HOW TO BE A GENERATOR TECHNICIAN BY THE BEST IN THE INDUSTRY?
INTERN OR APPRENTICE @ KGE!
Interns and apprentices have an excellent opportunity with Kelly Generator & Equipment, Inc. to be mentored by experienced technicians, to gain hands-on participation in service, planned maintenance, and emergency repairs on generators and related equipment. Participants in these programs will learn what is needed not only with the hands-on experience but also how to professionally handle customer interaction and preparing for each onsite opportunity. This is an incredible opportunity for a building block to place on top of the foundational courses that have already been provided at your vocational/technical school, college, or university.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AN APPRENTICE & INTERN?
An internship with KGE is an opportunity where a student, usually at a technical school, works with us during the summer in order to gain hands on experience and credit through their technical program. This normally lasts about 6 weeks over the summer and may result in a job offer which would be contingent on completion of the school program.
An apprenticeship with KGE is for people joining the workforce directly after high school who have a high aptitude for mechanical/electrical work and likely participated in VoTech programs such as HVAC, electrical and/or automotive.
Internships and apprenticeships are both paid opportunities and require participants be at least 18 years old.
